Though kyusu simply means "tea pot" in Japanese, in the west the word is often used to refer specifically to yokode kyūsu- side handled tea pots that allow for easy pouring without touching the hot surface of the pot. This 150ml tea pot features a clay mesh strainer inside to filter the tea leaves from the water when pouring.

Thrown on the wheel and fired to 2232°F/1220°C. Due to the wooden handle, hand washing is recommended.
