Black and white wood-fired teacup with hakeme brush-strokes

$35.00
Wood-firing is a time and labor-intensive process that takes days to complete. The results vary greatly and many pieces do not survive the firing process. However, the pots that make the cut invariably feature dynamic coloration from the fire and ash that coats the unglazed surface. Wood-fired pieces should be handled with care and only washed with warm water to allow a patina to develop and season the interior clay surface.

Wheel-thrown and fired to ~2350°F/1300°C in a wood-burning kiln. Glazed only with melted ash from the wood-firing process. Hand washing is highly recommended.

Holds ~40ml

All pieces are handmade in Chicago IL by Dani Fogarty.
